Spring 2023 - Letter From The Founder

Updated: Apr 3, 2023

The first coaching session is the start of new beginnings in what's possible. We can watch life come back to a stark environment in the transition from winter to spring – the changing of the temperature in the air. This visual and sensory representation offers us a metaphor that no matter the hardships of winter’s season, the cycle will move onto easier days of less challenges. Spring can remind us that after a season of the grey skies and no breakthroughs, we can start again. Each spring is a chance, an invitation to develop both your legacy projects as well as your inner self’s journey.

Whether it’s the joy of seeing new flowers arise in our yards or in public venues, the abundance of the natural world reminds me that we all have life within us waiting to blossom. No matter yesterday’s challenges or disappointments, Spring reminds us that we can start anew by simply choosing to.

Though these moments can feel rare and short lived, I would like to think we can slow down for a moment to be in the experience: the sights, smell of new flowers, sounds of birds and all other aspects of the natural world we live in. That with both commitment to enjoy our lives, we can soak up these moments into our heart’s vibration to then remind us of the beauty that still exists in this world – an opportunity to not rush to the next appointment or expectation (KPI) in the pull of the commercial hustle.

And while nature naturally unfolds in its grandeur, the art and science of coaching has expanded my mind to the learning curve required of us. In the midst of familiar routines and deadlines, intentional planning and accountability becomes key to aligning our wishes to weekly action. I’m realizing that development and execution of one’s holistic legacy does not have to look one way – that we can practice naming our wishes and the story beneath it, practice acknowledging our feelings no matter the newness of it and practice noticing the legacy potential in others. Even if it’s not yet a public conversation.

When it comes to the art of holistic legacy planning, we look to your inner world. Also known as your inner self or inner landscape. Beyond the practical wisdom to naming your values, there’s a magic to communicating them to both be known and to offer space for others to claim their values. Knowing our top 3-5 values isn’t just for the corporations, it can also be a North Star to the quality and meaning of your designed experiences. Of course, company values can offer us inspiration if we are unsure where to start. Find one individual, whether historic or a living person, who knows their values and lives into them with dedication and devotion.

It would be hard to design a legacy centered on growth and nurture without knowing the values that bring happiness to a person. Whether core or aspirational values, accountability is essential so values can be expanded through legacy projects and milestones.

As we transition further into Spring, I know I will be excited of how I will live into and live out my values this year. It’s typical of me to write gratitude journals, create a new vision board and update my monthly goals. This act of intentionally writing down and visualizing the near future is one step towards practical application, so the positive takes flight.

Each of us has a legacy vision within us and when defined properly, it can be developed so that our lives are not just happenstance. Others will know what it is we want for them, whether they are familiar to us or a beneficiary we will never meet. And that you will grow in ways you expect of yourself, in the value of integrity, as well as with new discoveries in the landscape of your inner world.

Best,

Angelina
